We live on an earth surrounded by the splendid beauty of flowers and plants. One of my first inspirations for painting was water lilies, one of the most celebrated of all flowers, which strongly touch my heart. My strong love of nature encourages me to paint in many ways. I seek to capture the dance of light and color inherent in the splendid beauty of nature. I have always loved sky and water, leaves and flowers. Ponds are a vehicle for abstraction; interweaving washes of color give the picture a rhythmic structure. I believe that nature itself is a form of art, which can inspire all of us to share our own individual uniqueness and to bring nature’s harmony into our lives.
